Jamaat-e-Islami has allocated party tickets to 243 candidates for a total of 266 national assembly seats in the country, as announced by JI vice-emir Liaqat Baloch on Friday. Speaking at a press conference in Mansoorah, he revealed that the party has nominated 531 candidates for elections on a combined 593 provincial assembly seats. The finalization of these tickets was carried out by the central parliamentary board, considering recommendations from provincial and district boards.

Addressing the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) female quota, JI deputy chief Liaquat Baloch mentioned that nine women are participating in elections for both national and provincial assembly seats. JI submitted a list of 42 women and 15 candidates for the special quota.
JI deputy chief Liaquat Baloch shared specifics about the distribution of candidates across provinces, indicating that JI has put forth 45 contestants for 45 national assembly seats in KP, 13 for 16 seats in Balochistan, 33 for 39 seats in interior Sindh, 22 for 22 seats in Karachi, and 128 candidates contesting from Punjab national assembly seats.
Highlighting the party’s focus on youth, JI deputy chief Liaquat Baloch emphasized that 62% of the tickets were given to young candidates. Additionally, he mentioned that 88% of the contestants hold graduate degrees, including individuals with backgrounds in engineering, medicine, and PhD scholars.
Expressing commitment to free and fair elections with equal opportunities for all political parties, JI deputy chief Liaquat Baloch expressed confidence in the timely conduct of elections. He urged the ECP to enforce the election code of conduct to prevent controversies, drawing attention to issues observed in the 2013 and 2018 elections.
Responding to a question regarding the resignations of two senior judges of the Supreme Court, Baloch asserted that it is the responsibility of the top court to conduct an inquiry and disclose the actual facts to the public, as it significantly impacts the credibility of the institution.
Jamaat e Islami Candidate List 2024 From KPK
Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) central parliamentary board has finalized its candidates for the upcoming general elections on February 8, covering both the National and Provincial Assemblies. The announcement was made by Abdul Wasey, the Secretary-General of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa JI, during a candidates’ convention in Peshawar.
Key selections include the awarding of a ticket for the Provincial Assembly from Peshawar to former MNA Hussain Awan. Additionally, former provincial minister Hafiz Hashmat has been repositioned to contest for the National Assembly.

The lineup includes prominent JI leaders like Ameer Sirajul Haq, Provincial Ameer Professor Muhammad Ibrahim, Sahibzada Haroon Rashid, Sahibzada Tariqullah, and former MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali, who are all slated to contest from their respective National Assembly constituencies.
For the Provincial Assembly, the list features former minister Inayatullah Khan, former K-P assembly speaker Bakht Jehan Khan, and former members Muhammad Amin, Sirajud Din, Azazul Mulk Afkari, and Saeed Gul.
Professor Muhammad Ibrahim, a notable provincial leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, is set to run from Bannu for both National and Provincial Assemblies. Abdul Wasey mentioned that consultations are ongoing for constituencies with pending candidate names, ensuring that announcements for those areas will follow soon after central parliamentary board approval.

Jamaat Islami Candidates List 2024 From Karachi
As per the election plan disclosed by the party, Hafiz Naeem is set to participate in the election as a candidate for two National Assembly constituencies — NA-246 and NA-250.
The list of other candidates includes Mumtaz Hussain for NA-229, Muhammad Islam for NA-230, Umar Farooq for NA-231, Taufeequddin Siddiqi for NA-232, Abdul Jameel Khan for NA-233, Akhtar Hussain Qureshi for NA-234, Dr Mairaj ul Huda Siddiqi for NA-235, Dr Usama Razi for NA-236, Irfan Ikhlas for NA-237, Advocate Saifuddin for NA-238, Fazalur Rehman for NA-239, Syed Abdul Rasheed for NA-240, Naveed Ali Baig for NA-241, Maulana Fazal Ahmed for NA-242, Shiraz Khan Jadoon for NA-243, Irfan Ahmed for NA-244, Haji Muhammad Ishaq for NA-245, Munim Zafar for NA-247, Muhammad Babar Khan for NA-248, and Muslim Pervez for NA-249 constituency.
